At least two persons were killed and six others seriously injured in a train crash in Sirajganj Friday. The crash occurred near Jhaul over-bridge at Chawkshahbaz Square railway crossing to the west of Bangabandhu Bridge at around 3:15 pm.  when Chitra Express train, which was coming from Khulna to Dhaka, hit a microbus, Sirajganj Government Railway Police chief Bimolkumar Chaki told dnews24.com. The deceased were identified as Yusuf and Kulsum. She died at Sirajganj Sadar Hospital while Yusuf died on the spot, he said, adding, driver Ripon and Shah Alam were critically injured and sent to Dhaka for better treatment. The others are now being treated at Sirajganj Sadar Hospital, he said. The dead and the injured, all microbus passengers, were returning to their homes in Comilla and Noakhali after visiting their relatives in Sirajganj.
